Associate Wedding by Cassie at Crystal Creek Farm Venue- Savannah & Bryon

Savannah & Bryon got married this past weekend and their wedding day was truly a joy. Not only did I get to tag team it with RWP Associate Photographer Cassie, but the day was STUNNING!

When I asked Cassie her top 3 favorite moments from the day, this is what she had to say…

“It’s always tough to pick just a few favorite moments from a wedding day—especially when it’s as joy-filled and emotional as Savannah and Bryon’s. But here are three standouts I’ll never forget:

1. The Groomsmen Showing Up and Showing Out
I’ve taken a lot of “game day shots” over the years—it’s one of my favorite traditions. The groomsmen, still in their everyday clothes (sunglasses, sneakers, suit bags slung over shoulders), walking into the hotel like a sports team about to hit the field. Bryon’s crew nailed it. But what really impressed me? After we headed back to the getting ready room for a quick cheers photo, I asked if we could tidy up the table a bit. Next thing I know, these guys are full-on cleaning—grabbing damp cloths and wiping down the table like a pit crew. Total MVPs.

2. The Father-Daughter First Look
Savannah’s dad, Ron, was holding back tears all day. Even when I popped in for detail shots, he was already getting choked up. But the first look between him and Savannah? It nearly took me out. The way he looked at her—with so much love and pride—it was hands down one of the most emotional moments I’ve ever photographed. I cry easily, but I had to hold it together or we’d both be a mess.

3. That Surprise Chorus During the Ceremony
Savannah and her friends have a background in theater, and it showed in the best way. During the ceremony, a few of them stood up and surprised everyone—including the bride and groom—with a choral performance of “Just the Way You Are,” one of Savannah’s favorite songs. Each singer had a solo, and it was absolutely stunning. Between the song and the couple’s heartfelt vows, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Thankfully, the unity “Lego heart build” gave us all a much-needed comic relief—Savannah and Bryon were adorably challenged putting it together, but they made it work. Just like marriage, right?

There were so many amazing moments—sunshine and blue skies in March (can you believe it?!), Savannah hiking to the pond in heels like an absolute champ, and that legendary Pittsburgh cookie table (yes, I took a box home and no, it did not survive the next morning). But those three moments? They’re the ones I’ll be smiling about for a long time.”
