A Summer Engagement at Lincoln Park & North Avenue Beach- Mandy & Arek

Before I share some of my favorite moments from Mandy & Arek’s engagement session, I have to tell you a little bit about this sweet couple and how their story began—because it’s one of those meet-cutes that feels like it was meant to be.

These two first met during COVID at a neighborhood sports bar that happened to be a good halfway point between them. They ended up going back there for their very first date, which turned into a seven-hour conversation—one of those nights where time just disappears. And now? They live just a block away from that same bar that became the starting point of their story.

Arek proposed this past August, and the story is just as thoughtful and beautiful as the two of them. He surprised Mandy with last-minute plans to the Chicago Botanic Garden, knowing how much she loves flowers and plants. They went with another couple—one of whom happens to be into photography—and in the rose garden, Arek got down on one knee. That friend captured the moment, and Mandy got her proposal surrounded by blooms. It doesn’t get more romantic than that!
