A Summer Wedding at Makray Golf Club- Katie & Johnny

Getting to photograph Katie & Johnny’s wedding day this past Saturday was so special, not only because these two are an incredibly sweet couple who just fit together, but because this was our SECOND Beltrame family wedding! Getting to celebrate with this family again made an already special day that much sweeter.

Our morning started together at the hotel where Katie was getting ready, and the excitement was HIGH! We popped champagne, got Katie into her dress, and then headed over to MaKray Golf Club for Katie & Johnny’s first look. From there, the entire day flowed so smoothly, and we were blessed with the most beautiful August weather!

There were so many parts of Katie & Johnny’s wedding day that I loved, but when I think back on their celebration, these are three of the first uniquely Katie & Johnny moments that come to mind…

#3. Katie’s First Dance with Her Grandpa

This was such a sweet moment. Katie shared the dance floor with her Grandpa while their family and friends looked on, soaking it all in. Wedding days have a way of creating these little pockets of time that feel extra meaningful, and I’m so grateful we were able to capture this one for Katie and her family.

#2. The Bridesmaids’ First Look

Every wedding dress deserves its moment, and Katie’s DEFINITELY got one!

Before the wedding day, only Katie’s mom and sister had seen her dress, which meant we got to plan a first look with the rest of her bridesmaids. Their reactions were priceless! The surprise, the excitement, the giant smiles… it was such a fun way to kick off the day with some of Katie’s favorite people.

#1. Dancing the Night Away… Starting with THAT First Dance!

Katie & Johnny came ready for their first dance! Johnny lifted and spun his bride, worked in a few twirls AND finished it off with a dip. These two seriously looked GOOD out there!

And later, we snuck away from the reception for a few golden hour portraits around MaKray. The light was beautiful, the weather was perfect, and getting a few quiet minutes with just the two of them felt like the perfect way to soak in everything that had happened that day before heading back inside to celebrate.

Katie & Johnny, thank you so much for having me capture your wedding day! It was truly such a joy getting to celebrate with you, your families, and so many familiar faces. I absolutely LOVE the images we created together, and I hope you do too. : )
