Engagement: What to bring…

If you missed our last post about the importance of your engagement shoot, check it out here.

A lot of times when booking an Engagement shoot, client will ask me what they should bring with them to the shoot. I love when clients ask me this!

Engagement shoots are always a lot of fun for me because of the excitement that comes with them. There are a lot of fun and creative things we can do with the location a couple chooses, but when a couple chooses to bring different things with them, it adds a whole new layer of possibility.

Here are a few of my favorite shots from past shoots…

When clients bring different things with them, they bring a new dimension to the photoshoot.

But what should you bring… here are a few things to think about to help give you some fun ideas.

  1. What hobbies do you share?
  2. Are you both huge sports fans or rivals?
  3. Have you seen something cute you want to put your own spin on?
  4. Would you like multiple looks/outfits for your shoot?
  5. Do you have a dog that you want to include?
  6. What did you do on your first date?
  7. Can you incorporate the proposal into the photos somehow?

Every couple is different. Some will bring fun props that they have seen such as balloons, sunglasses, their dog, sports jerseys, bikes, each shoot is different. Some couples don’t bring anything. It just depends on what you’re looking for, but hopefully this helps you as you start to brainstorm for your Engagement shoot!

Till next time,
