Your Sparkler Exit- Three Things to Remember

post filed in:

For Brides

One of my favorite ways to end the night with our couples is with a sparkler send off. It’s the perfect way to cap off a wedding celebration and the photos, are truly stunning!

There are two different ways to set up your sparkler send off.

Option #1. Invite all your guests outside for the send off 60-90 minutes into open dance.

Option #2. Invite just the Bridal Party and Family outside for the send off 60-90 minutes into open dance.

I always encourage couples to do these earlier in the evening so that all your favorite people can be part of the sparkler send off AND your guests are still trustworthy with fire. ; )

Here are three things to remember before your wedding day…

#1. The longer the sparkler, the better! This gives us time to run through the sparklers not once, but twice! The perfect chance to get a couple of different looks for your sparkler exit.

While there are a lot of incredible companies out there, I asked our Watson Brides and these are the two companies they recommended…

Bride Envy

Sparklers

Either the 20 inch or 36 inch would be a great fit!

Pro Tip: Make sure to take sparklers out of the packaging before your wedding day so they’re ready for the send off.

#2. Don’t forget lighters! I know that sounds a little silly, but it’s so important to remember! You can find my favorite ones here on Amazon.

These do need to be filled with fuel, but 100% worth it!

Get one set of these torches, give them to two trusted people, and light the sparklers one at a time for the best result. No matter the lighter/torch, it’s hard to light more than one sparkler at a time. However, once a sparkler is lite, it’s easy to pass the light from sparkler to sparkler.

#3. Finally, have fun! Your wedding day is going to go so fast. This is usually one of the last things we photograph for couples. Sit back and have fun with these sweet shots. Have your Groom spin you around, give him a kiss, or better yet, maybe a little dip & kiss!

I hope this post has been helpful to you! If you have any other questions about the sparkler send off, let me know! I always love hearing from you.

Much Love,
