Elise and Joe’s love story began at Wheaton College, where they first crossed paths as competitors in the Mock Trial team—a gathering of passionate students channeling their inner lawyers.

What started as a simple walk for their first date turned into a delightful 12-hour conversation, igniting a spark that neither of them could ignore. A few weeks later, they officially started dating, embarking on a beautiful three-year journey of growth and love.

Last August, Joe cleverly disguised his proposal as a birthday celebration, leading Elise on a tour of their most cherished memories together. After sharing their favorite bagels, Joe popped the question at Blackwell Forest Preserve.

While Elise suspected something was up, she was still amazed to discover how many loved ones had conspired to make the day unforgettable!
