A Summer Wedding at 28 Mile Distilling Co.- Jenny & Tim

This past Saturday, Jenny & Tim tied the knot and celebrated with a stunning summer wedding at the beautifully designed 28 Mile Distillery. Located just outside Chicago, this one-of-a-kind venue was the perfect backdrop for a celebration filled with vintage 1920s charm, personal touches, and unforgettable moments.

From their custom wedding crest to a popcorn seating chart featuring Garrett Popcorn (a true Chicago staple!), every detail was thoughtfully chosen. The energy, the laughter, and the love filled every corner — and I’m so grateful I got to document it all.

While there were so many meaningful parts of Jenny & Tim’s wedding day, here are just three of my favorite moments:

#3: The Groom’s Cake Surprise
Jenny planned a fun surprise for Tim — a groom’s cake designed with the Nike logo that read “Just Married” instead of “Just Do It.” A playful, personal detail that had everyone smiling!

#2: The Bridesmaids’ First Look (and Mom’s Big Moment!)
Right before the bridesmaids saw Jenny in her dress for the first time, there was a quick, sweet moment where Jenny hid at the door while her mom, Barb, peeked around the corner, full of excitement. It was fast — but it’s one of my favorite captures from the entire day.

#1: The Buried Bourbon Tradition
One month before the wedding, Jenny & Tim buried a bottle of bourbon at the venue to bring good weather on their big day. Just before the reception, they unearthed it with the help of the amazing 28 Mile Distillery team — and the tradition clearly worked, because the day was perfect!
