A Summer Wedding at The Farmhouse Plainfield- Patrice & Aubrey

From the moment I arrived at The Farmhouse Plainfield, I could feel the excitement in the air. Patrice & Aubrey’s vow renewal day was finally here, and every detail reflected their love, their journey, and their incredible community. From getting ready with their boys, to the Red Carpet VIP theme, to the emotional ceremony surrounded by family—it was such a meaningful celebration to be part of.

While there were many sweet moments on their day, here are my three favorite moments…

3. Their post-ceremony portraits—so much joy!
After their heartfelt ceremony, we snuck away for a few portraits just the two of them. It was the first quiet moment Patrice & Aubrey had together, and the laughter, joy, and deep connection between them was undeniable. You can feel it in every single frame.

2. The Red Carpet/VIP wedding theme.
Patrice & Aubrey made sure their guests felt like stars! From ticket-style invitations to VIP wristbands and even “event security,” every detail was intentional and fun. It was such a unique and thoughtful way to show love to their closest family and friends.

1. Patrice’s walk down the aisle.
This moment was extra special. Patrice was first escorted by her dad, then by her brothers, and finally by her boys—three generations of men who mean the world to her. It was powerful, emotional, and truly unforgettable.

There were so many other sweet moments too—like taking photos of Aubrey and his boys getting ready, the couple’s fun cigar bar, and our quick night portraits to close out the night. Every part of the day felt personal and joyful, and I’m so honored I got to document it.

Patrice & Aubrey, thank you so much for having me capture this beautiful celebration. You two are the real deal, and it was such a joy to witness your love.
