A Summer Wedding at The Hyatt Lodge- Angela & Matt

Angela & Matt are married!! Their Hyatt Lodge wedding was the perfect blend of heartfelt, meaningful moments and joyful celebration. I was so excited to capture this day, not only because Angela & Matt are such a kind and genuine couple, but because they were surrounded by the most amazing support system—including three of my Watson Brides! You already know how much I love a Watson Bride reunion.

As I think back on their wedding, here are just a few of the many moments that stood out to me:

#3. A Special Gift from the Groomsmen
During the morning, Matt’s groomsmen surprised him with a truly meaningful gift to honor his late father. It was a coin etched with an image of Matt and his dad from his childhood on one side, and a drawing his dad had made at their shared workplace on the other. It was such a touching gesture and a powerful reminder of the people who are always with us—even when they can’t physically be there.

#2. A First Dance with Her Mom
Angela’s first dance with her mom had guests eyes go misty. As they danced, a video played showing photos and home videos of Angela and her dad, who is no longer with us. One clip showed a home video of her dad dancing with her as a little girl. To see that side-by-side with her dancing with her mom? So moving. It was a beautiful tribute and an unforgettable moment.

#1. The Private Vows
Before the ceremony, Angela & Matt shared a first look and read their vows to each other privately. These two are so meant to be, and witnessing that quiet moment between them was one of the most emotional parts of the day. The way Matt looked at Angela—pure awe. It was a reminder of how deep and real their connection truly is.
