A Summer Engagement at Museum Campus in Chicago- Emily & Sarud

From the moment we met up at Museum Campus last week, I knew Emily & Sarud’s engagement session was going to be something special. Not only is this stunning location in the heart of Chicago, but it’s also their backyard — the view they see every day, the path where they take walks together, and the streets and trails Sarud often bikes. There’s something magical about capturing a couple in a space that feels like home to them.

As we wandered along the lakefront, Emily shared her love for all things Star Wars, while Sarud lit up talking about his favorite fantasy novels (The Wheel of Time just jumped onto my reading list!). We laughed about their ongoing debate of whether they’ll adopt a dog or a cat first, and I couldn’t help but picture how perfectly they’ll add that next chapter to their story.

The evening light, the sparkle of the city skyline, and the joy between these two made the whole session an absolute joy to capture. Emily & Sarud, thank you so much for inviting me into your world and letting me document these moments for you.
