A Summer Wedding at Cantigny- Julia & Vince

Julia & Vince’s wedding day at the Woodside Pavilion at Cantigny Golf was the perfect blend of heartfelt moments, thoughtful details, and joyful celebration. From the bridesmaids’ chic parasols and umbrellas to the golden hour glow that wrapped around the newlyweds, every part of the day felt intentional and full of love. Guests were welcomed into the reception with a unique step-and-repeat backdrop Vince built himself—such a fun and personal touch!

With so many incredible memories from the day, it was hard to choose, but here are three of my absolute favorite moments from Julia & Vince’s wedding:

#3 – Photos in the Rose Garden
Even in the whirlwind of the day, we made time to sneak away for a few portraits in the Rose Garden—and I’m so glad we did! These ended up being some of my absolute favorite shots, and I love that Julia & Vince were up for the adventure.

#2 – The East Lawn Portraits
While the original plan was to hold their ceremony on the East Lawn, the summer heat had other ideas. Julia & Vince, always thinking of their guests, made the thoughtful choice to move the ceremony indoors. We still made it out to the East Lawn and in front of the mansion for some beautiful portraits, and it was 100% worth it.

#1 – Vince’s Reaction
Even with a first look earlier in the day, Vince’s face when Julia walked down the aisle was absolutely priceless. You could see every ounce of love, joy, and emotion written all over his expression. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love photographing weddings so much.
