A Summer Wedding at Selmer + Stone- Marianna & Justyn

This wedding day was one I will never forget! We had not one, not two, but three thunderstorms roll through, but from the moment Marianna & Justyn saw each other, they radiated joy.

I get asked all the time, “What happens if it rains on my wedding day?” and their wedding was such a perfect example. Even with the storms, we had breaks in the weather to sneak in groomsmen portraits outdoors and even sunset photos of Marianna & Justyn. Inside, the barn at Selmer + Stone became the perfect blank canvas—its natural light let us create some of my favorite portraits of the day!

What stood out to me even more than the weather was the love and community that surrounded these two. When the first storm rolled in and winds knocked down part of the setup, friends immediately stepped in to fix, replace, and reset everything. By the time guests arrived, their vision was ready and waiting. As I look back on their day, a few memories stick out as my absolute favorite moments:

#3 – Photographing at their exact proposal spot

After the ceremony, we had the chance to photograph Marianna & Justyn at the exact spot where Justyn proposed. It was such a meaningful full-circle moment, and you could see how much it meant to both of them to stand in that place again—this time as husband and wife.

#2– A father/daughter dance that turned into a sister moment

During the reception, Marianna invited her sister, Gina, to join her in the father/daughter dance. It was such a sweet, emotional surprise. The joy and tears shared on the dance floor were unforgettable, and it was a moment that truly captured how close this family is.

#1– The energy of Greek dancing traditions

The Greek dancing during the reception was absolutely electric! Guests filled the floor, the music played loud, and the celebration was full of laughter, clapping, and movement. It was such a fun tradition to witness and photograph.
