A Fall Engagement at Cantigny- Elizabeth & Josh

This past week I had the absolute joy of photographing Elizabeth & Josh’s engagement session at Cantigny Park. The late September light was perfect, and I couldn’t be happier to share a sneak peek of their story and these beautiful images!

Elizabeth & Josh’s story started with a dating app match neither of them really expected. Their first conversations were filled with laughter, Costco vs. Home Depot jokes, and a spark that made both want to see what was beyond the text messages. Their first date at a taco spot almost didn’t happen—Josh nearly left before Elizabeth pulled up, but something told him to stay. And from that moment on, their story just kept unfolding in the sweetest ways—from tacos and snowy downtown walks to “laundry dates” that turned into moving in together.

By the end of 2024, Josh knew he wanted to spend forever with Elizabeth. After some creative maneuvering to ask her parents’ blessing (and quite a bit of nervous poker-facing), he popped the question on a Milwaukee hotel balcony on New Year’s Eve—just minutes before midnight. Elizabeth said it was the best day of her life, because it was the day she knew for sure she’d found her person. These two share such an easy joy and deep love, and it’s clear they are the perfect match.
