A Summer Engagement at Cantigny- Kimberly & Andrew

Yesterday, I had the absolute joy of capturing Kimberly & Andrew engagement session at the always-gorgeous Cantigny Park! These two are so sweet together, and their joy is contagious. : )

Kimberly shared the cutest story with me about how they first met. After a rough date, she was telling a coworker about it when a intern who was with them overheard and immediately asked if Kimberly was looking for someone to date. When she said yes, they lit up and said, “What do you want? I have 40 first cousins!”

What started as a joke turned into something more and after a few quick questions she immediately thought of her cousin Andrew. He texted Kimberly on Super Bowl Sunday, and as Kimberly put it, “that was it!”

For their proposal, Andrew planned the perfect day in Kimberly’s favorite place — Lake Geneva. After a morning at the observatory and lunch on the lake, he took her to her pier and proposed. Both of their families had been secretly planning with him for months, and everyone was waiting back at the lake house for a surprise engagement party.

Kimberly & Andrew, thank you so much for inviting me into this season with you! You two are such a perfect match, and I loved capturing this special chapter in your story.
