A Summer Wedding at Itasca Country Club- Kara & Chris

This past Saturday, I had the incredible honor of photographing Kara & Chris’s beautiful wedding day at Itasca Country Club — and friends, it was unforgettable! This was actually my second Wons family wedding, which makes it all the more special. Being invited back to capture another family celebration is one of the highest compliments, and I couldn’t be more grateful to have been part of this day.

Narrowing down my favorite moments was so hard, but I’ve picked my top three to share with you today!

#3 – Kara’s Heartfelt Words to Her Bridesmaids
Just after her first look with the bridal party, Kara took a quiet moment to share a personal note with each bridesmaid. Tears all around! I loved that she chose to pause and speak life and gratitude over her best girls before heading into the rest of the day.

#2 – The Wons Family Tradition Lives On
When the DJ dropped “Hey Jealousy,” the Wons men did not disappoint. Jackets were flying everywhere, forming a giant pile on the dance floor — and this year, Chris got to join in! The joy on everyone’s faces (and the cheers from guests) were priceless.

#1 – The Surprise Firework Show
Just when everyone thought the night was winding down after the sparkler exit, Kara & Chris surprised their guests with a private fireworks show! It was the perfect grand finale to a day filled with celebration, laughter, and love.

Kara & Chris, thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me to capture your wedding day. It was an honor to be part of such an intentional, joy-filled celebration.
