A Fall Proposal at The Morton Arboretum- Meredith & Bran

Getting to capture Bran’s proposal to Meredith this past Saturday was truly special. When Bran first reached out, he already had a clear vision — he had scouted a few spots at the Morton Arboretum and was eagerly counting down the days. The last thing on his list? A photographer who could blend in and capture the moment. : )

So Blake and I headed out to the Arboretum, acting like regular visitors as we waited for them to arrive. That’s one of my favorite parts of proposal days — when Blake comes along to help me blend in to keep the surprise. As soon as we spotted them approaching, we slowly shifted into place.

Standing among towering evergreens and golden light, Bran gently reached for Meredith’s arm… and then dropped to one knee. Her face lit up with joy — it was the sweetest moment, and I’m so grateful we were there to document it. : )

One of my favorite parts of the morning came afterward — getting to connect with Meredith & Bran, hear a bit of their story, and learn what brought them to Chicago from Cincinnati. It’s clear this next chapter is going to be an incredible one for them.

Meredith & Bran, thank you so much for having me. I couldn’t be more excited for you both as you begin this new adventure together.
