A Fall Wedding at Cantigny- Lindsey & Matt

This past Saturday, I had the joy of photographing Lindsey & Matt’s beautiful wedding day at Cantigny Park — their ceremony took place in the Rock Garden and their reception followed in Le Jardin.
Different than most of my weddings, I actually met the couple for the first time right before their ceremony! Every once in a while, I have the chance to photograph a smaller, more intimate wedding day, and I absolutely love the sweetness that comes with it. Lindsey & Matt’s celebration was no exception. While the guest list may have been smaller, the love that filled their day was overflowing.

Here are a few of my favorite moments from Lindsey & Matt’s wedding day…

#3. The Couple’s Bubbles Exit

Bubbles exits are always one of my favorites, but Lindsey & Matt took it to the next level! They had not one, but two bubble machines, plus guests waving their own wands. It made for such a joyful, whimsical exit and the photos turned out absolutely magical.

#2. The Father–Daughter Dance

There wasn’t a dry eye in the room when Lindsey shared her dance with her dad. Midway through, he invited her son to take his place on the dance floor, and it was the sweetest moment — a perfect reflection of family, love, and legacy all wrapped into one.

#1. Faith, Patience, and Love

Throughout the day, a few themes kept coming up: Lindsey’s patience and grace as she waited for Matt to pop the question after years together. But even more than that, again and again, friends and family spoke about how Lindsey & Matt’s faith in Jesus Christ has been the true foundation of their relationship. Seeing that faith celebrated and shared so openly made their wedding day even more meaningful — it was clear their love story was built on something truly eternal. : )

Lindsey & Matt, thank you so much for having me as your wedding photographer. It was such a joy to connect with you both and capture this new chapter of your story.
