An Associate Engagement by Cassie at the University of Notre Dame- Kaylee & Jamie

From the moment Cassie arrived at the University of Notre Dame for Kaylee & Jamie’s engagement session, she couldn’t help but smile. These two are warm, down-to-earth, and just so easy to be around — the kind of couple you instantly want to cheer for. Photographing them on a campus that has meant so much to their story made the whole afternoon feel extra meaningful.

Kaylee & Jamie first met on the very first day of grad school, both stepping into the PhD process in the department of biological sciences. A classic case of the right place at the right time, they quickly bonded over long hours in the lab, Notre Dame tailgates, and the lifelong friendships that grow during those grad school years. By November 2018, they were officially dating, and they stayed side-by-side all the way through their time at ND — studying, celebrating, and building a life together.

In 2024, they made the move to Philadelphia to begin their post-grad chapter. Not long after, Jaime proposed with a custom ring during a walk at a state park in Yardley, PA — a moment that was perfect… minus one tiny plot twist. In the excitement, the car and house keys disappeared. After six+ hours of searching (with their 60-pound dog in tow!), the three of them finally made it home thanks to the kindest Uber driver ever. Honestly, it’s one of those stories they’ll be telling forever — the kind that becomes even sweeter with time.
