An Associate Engagement by Cassie at Lincoln Park & North Avenue Beach- Vallary & David

There’s something really special about a love story that begins quietly… and just keeps growing stronger over time. Vallary and David’s story is exactly that kind; thoughtful, intentional, and full of meaning in all the right places.

These two first met online in November of 2020, right in the middle of a season when the world felt a little slower and more uncertain. Their first date? A simple walk through Jackson Park. No big production; just conversation, fresh air, and the beginning of something that would steadily unfold into forever.

As their relationship grew, so did the significance of the places woven into their story. One of those places became the setting for one of their biggest moments, when David proposed at a botanical garden that already held special meaning for them from an earlier date. And in true thoughtful David fashion, he came prepared! He handed a nearby stranger a pre-written note on his phone asking them to capture the moment. (Honestly, iconic.)

Spending time with Vallary and David, it’s so clear how grounded and genuine their connection is. They’re the kind of couple who trusts the process, values the people around them, and is most excited about celebrating with their favorite humans. And photographing their engagement session around Lincoln Park and North Avenue Beach felt like the perfect reflection of that! Classic, relaxed, and full of joy.
