A Spring Wedding at Bloomingdale Park District Museum- Kristen & Lucas

Kristen & Lucas’s wedding day felt like one giant exhale in the best possible way. After rain had been lingering in the forecast all week, Friday arrived with beautiful weather, happy tears, and the sweetest kind of energy surrounding these two.

From the moment I walked in, friends and family were already hard at work setting up every little detail for the ceremony and reception, and honestly… I think that’s what stood out most all day long. Kristen & Lucas are so deeply loved, and you could feel it in every moment.

Here are a few of my favorite moments from Kristen & Lucas’s wedding this past Friday:

#3. When Kristen & Lucas cut their cake!
Not only was it a sweet moment, but the cake was made by Kristen! Just one of many personal touches their day was filled with, and definitely the most delicious!

#2. The wedding cape that Kristen had.
It’s one of the few that I’ve gotten to work with and it was SO FUN to get bridal portraits of her in the morning! The black & white shot of Kristen by the window is my favorite, but I’ll let you scroll to see what I mean.

#1. Getting to capture those special moments between Kristen and her Dad.
From the first look she had with him, to the moment he walked her down the aisle to their private father daughter dance. They truly have a special connection and I’m just so grateful I got to capture so many incredible moments between Kristen, her Dad, as well as her Mom and sisters.

Kristen & Lucas, thank you both so much for having me there to celebrate alongside you and document such an incredibly meaningful day. Your wedding was filled with so much intention, love, and some of the sweetest people. I couldn’t be more excited for this next season for you both. : )
