A Spring Engagement at Lincoln Park & North Avenue Beach- Alex & Jon

There is something so sweet about a love story that keeps finding its way back to the right person.

Alex and Jon first met all the way back in grade school and even “dated” for a couple of weeks in fifth grade. Life eventually took them in different directions, but after both found themselves out of long-term relationships years later, they reconnected and quickly realized their story wasn’t finished yet.

Since then, they’ve built a beautiful life together filled with weekly dinner dates, outdoor adventures, and cheering each other on through every season. Most recently, that meant supporting Alex through four years of dental school in Milwaukee before preparing for their next big adventure together: a move to Seattle for her residency program.

Before the move, Jon had one more surprise planned. On December 26th, with the Chicago skyline glowing outside their hotel window, he proposed. The timing was perfect. Not only was it the day before his birthday, but it also gave them a private evening to soak it all in before sharing the news with family and friends the next day.

Alex & Jon, thank you so much for having me capture this exciting season of your lives. It was such a joy exploring Lincoln Park and North Avenue Beach with you both and celebrating this chapter before so many exciting changes ahead.

A huge congratulations to Alex on completing dental school and beginning her residency! We are cheering you both on as you settle into Seattle and start this new adventure together. We cannot wait to see you back in Illinois next year and celebrate your wedding day. : )
