A Summer Wedding at Fishermen’s Inn- Kaela & Eric

Wedding

When two people who share a love of music promise forever, you know their wedding day is going to have its own beautiful rhythm. From an emotional morning surrounded by their favorite people to one of my favorite creative exits we’ve photographed all year, Kaela & Eric’s Fishermen’s Inn wedding was filled with so much joy, intention, and celebration.

Thinking back on their wedding day brings back so many sweet memories. From popping champagne with the bride squad to the incredibly heartfelt first look Eric shared with his mom, and even ending the night with ice cream for late-night treats, every part of the day reflected who they are. They were surrounded by people who love them deeply, and every moment felt like one big celebration of the life they’re building together.

If I had to narrow it down to just three favorite moments, these would be at the top of my list.

#3. A Ceremony Filled with Music

As both teachers and lovers of music, it was only fitting that music played such a meaningful role in Kaela & Eric’s wedding day. Their outdoor ceremony featured an incredible 30-piece brass band made up of friends and fellow musicians, many of whom Eric has performed with over the past several years.

Watching everything come together was incredibly special. The music wasn’t just beautiful. It told part of their story. It was such a unique reflection of the community they’ve built together and the passion they’ve shared throughout their relationship.

#2. An Anniversary Tradition They’ll Treasure Forever

Instead of a traditional unity ceremony, Kaela & Eric chose to create an anniversary box, and I absolutely loved this idea.

Inside the box, they placed handwritten vows, letters to one another, a bottle of wine, and two glasses to open together on their first anniversary. It was such a meaningful reminder that while their wedding day marked the beginning of marriage, it was also the beginning of countless anniversaries they’ll celebrate together in the years ahead.

I can already imagine how special it will be to open that box one year from now and relive every emotion from this incredible day.

#1. Ending the Night with Some of My Favorite Photos

If you’ve been around here for a while, you know I always love sneaking out for a few final creative portraits before the night ends, and Kaela & Eric absolutely delivered.

Not only did we create an epic lightsaber exit that perfectly fit the fun energy of the evening, but they also invited their entire bridal party to help create one last image. Everyone gathered together holding a large mirror while Eric dipped Kaela, creating one of my favorite creative portraits we’ve photographed this season.

Those last few minutes were the perfect ending to an unforgettable celebration.

Kaela & Eric, thank you so much for inviting us to document such an incredible day. It was such an honor getting to celebrate alongside you, and I couldn’t be more excited to share these sneak peeks with you.

Now grab a blanket, snuggle up together, and relive one of the best days of your lives.
