An Associate Wedding by Cassie at Gardens of Woodstock- Shea & Jon

Shea & Jon’s wedding day at the beautiful Gardens of Woodstock was the perfect mix of joyful, heartfelt, and beautifully relaxed. Cassie had such a wonderful time capturing their celebration, and before you dive into their sneak peek, here are three of her favorite parts of the day!

3. The Emotion

Some of the sweetest moments came from the emotion woven throughout the day. Shea’s first look with her dad, their father-daughter dance, and her sister’s heartfelt speech had everyone reaching for tissues.

Her mom’s presence was also honored in such beautiful ways, from the white tulips reserved at her ceremony seat to the special keepsakes wrapped around Shea’s bouquet. It was such a meaningful reminder that love stays with us, even when someone can’t be there in person.

2. The Perfect Weather

For an outdoor garden wedding, you truly could not have asked for a more beautiful day. It was sunny, warm, breezy, and absolutely perfect for celebrating outside. The gardens were in bloom, the light was beautiful, and everything just felt easy and relaxed.

1. The Venue

The Gardens of Woodstock was such a dream to photograph! Living in McHenry County, we don’t always have a ton of garden-inspired wedding venues right in our area, so this one felt like such a treat. There were so many beautiful little places to shoot. Quiet pathways, colorful blooms, intimate corners, and the prettiest pockets of light.

One of my favorite little moments was watching the bridal party search for frogs in the pond through the lily pads like it was a wedding-day version of Where’s Waldo. It was hilarious, so sweet, and perfectly captured the fun spirit of the day.
