An Associate Wedding by Cassie at Hyatt Lodge- Kaitlyn & Peter

What a beautiful day celebrating Kaitlyn & Peter! Cassie had the best time photographing these two and all the thoughtful details they brought into their wedding day. From meaningful Polish traditions shared with their families to the woodland-inspired reception they had envisioned at the Hyatt Lodge, their day felt so personal to the two of them. : )

There were so many wonderful moments throughout their wedding day, but I asked Cassie to narrow it down to just three favorites!

#3. All the Polish touches at the reception.

I have to mention the incredible food display with hanging sausages and all kinds of cheeses! Between that and the blessing earlier in the day, it was fun to see their family traditions woven into the celebration.

#2. Their reception at Hyatt Lodge!

You know I love photographing weddings there, and we had such a beautiful day for it. Their reception was in the Grand Oaks Pavilion, and the woodland details she’d been dreaming about fit the space so well. I was excited to photograph it from the moment she told me about her enchanted forest vision!

#1. Their Polish blessing before the ceremony.

After their first look, the groom and his family came to the bride’s parents’ house, where both families gathered to bless them before they left for church. They used little boxwood branches to sprinkle the couple with holy water, and the bride and groom each kissed the crucifix. I’d never photographed this tradition before, and I loved that I got to be there for such a meaningful part of their day!
