An Associate Wedding by Cassie at Marriott Southwest Burr Ridge- Julia & Peter

Associates

Julia & Peter are married! These two celebrated their wedding day this past Saturday with a beautiful ceremony at Hinsdale Covenant Church followed by their reception at the Chicago Marriott Burr Ridge. Cassie was there to capture it all, and from the personal details they incorporated throughout the day to an incredibly emotional ceremony, there was so much to love.

I asked Cassie to share three of her favorite things from Julia & Peter’s wedding day, and here’s what she had to say!

#3. The Personal Details

I loved all of the personal details they incorporated throughout the reception. Peter loves fish, and Julia loves bugs, so the table number cards featured a different fish on one side and a different bug on the other. Julia even had tiny beetles on her hairpiece! It was such a fun and unique way to bring both of their personalities into the day.

#2. THE WEATHER!

I had been stalking the forecast, and it genuinely looked like the entire day was going to be a washout. It rained a little while I was driving there, but as far as I could tell, that was it! We were able to take all of their portraits outside, and we even had sunshine during family photos. The humidity was definitely there, but I will take humidity over pouring rain any day!

The church was on a fairly busy street, and while we were outside, nearly every car that passed honked or shouted congratulations. Julia and Peter shouted and waved back every time, with Julia excitedly shaking her bouquet in the air. It was so much fun and made the whole afternoon feel even more celebratory.

#1. An Emotional Ceremony

Their ceremony was incredibly emotional. A family pastor married them at the church in Hinsdale, and they also had live musicians playing violin, cello, piano, and guitar. The guitarist sang a beautiful song during the ceremony about sharing an ordinary life together, and it made everyone cry.

Julia and Peter stood off to the side, wrapped around one another and quietly crying as they listened. Julia had very smartly tucked Q-tips into her bouquet, so she pulled one out and gently dabbed her tears. Peter saw what she was doing and reached into her bouquet to grab one for himself! It was funny, but also such a sweet and intimate little moment between the two of them.

Their family pastor also sang during both the father-daughter and mother-son dances at the reception, which made those moments even more meaningful. The entire day was filled with so much emotion and so many personal touches. It was such a beautiful day for the sweetest couple!

Julia & Peter, thank you so much for trusting our team to capture such a special day! It was an absolute joy celebrating alongside you, and I hope you love reliving it all through your sneak peek.

Now, grab a blanket and snuggle up. Your sneak peek is live!
