A Fall Wedding at Belvedere Events & Banquets- Kimberly & Andrew

Kimberly & Andrew got married this past Saturday at Belvedere Events, and it was truly such a beautiful celebration! We had gorgeous sunshine, an incredible group of family and friends, and even got to sneak away to Busse Woods for bridal party portraits by the water. With the sailboats in the background and the sun shining, I don’t think we could have asked for a more perfect afternoon. : )

There were SO MANY incredible parts of Kimberly & Andrew’s wedding day, but when I think back on their day, there are three moments that immediately rush back to mind. A Wedding Wednesday tradition. : )

#3. The stranger who saved us from poison ivy!

While we were at Busse Woods, I spotted this beautiful little area that I thought would be perfect for a few photos of just Kimberly & Andrew. As we started heading over, a man nearby suddenly called out, “That’s poison ivy!”

YIKES.

Needless to say, we quickly changed course! I now know what poison ivy looks like, and I am VERY grateful to the gentleman who pointed it out before we learned that lesson the hard way. Truly the unsung hero of the wedding day!

#2. Kimberly’s first look with her bridesmaids and the littles!

This wasn’t originally part of the schedule, but sometimes you realize in the moment that something is simply a must. Kimberly had NINE incredible ladies standing by her side, and since only her Maid of Honor had been there while she got dressed, we carved out a little space for everyone else to see her for the first time.

Their reactions were the sweetest, and I’m SO glad we made time for it. : )

#1. Kimberly & Andrew’s wedding ceremony.

After Kimberly walked down the aisle and these two stood together holding hands, I caught the sweetest little moment. Before they had even exchanged their vows, I watched Kimberly & Andrew quietly mouth “I love you” to each other.

It was such a tiny, almost secret moment in the middle of a room filled with people they love, and one I felt so lucky to witness. : )

Kimberly & Andrew, thank you SO much for having me there to celebrate with you! Your wedding day was beautiful, joyful, and just so much fun to photograph. I’m incredibly grateful you trusted us to capture it all, and I hope you two are soaking in every second of being newlyweds! : )
