Ashley & Brent met while they were both studying at Midwestern University through mutual friends. While they didn’t date right away, Ashley’s Mom actually met Brent early on. After meeting him, she promptly told Ashley she should date him. : )
The two started dating not long after and have been together every since.
This past December Brent knew he wanted to ask Ashley to marry him. He just wasn’t sure how he wanted to ask… What he landed on… was perfect!
Ashley & Brent headed out to the Morton Arboretum to see the lights. A place he had told Ashley he wanted to take her for a couple of years. Unfortunately, it was maybe 15 degrees that day. While the two were dressed warm, at 15 degrees, it’s never enough layers.
As they walked around enjoying each other company and trying to stay warm, Brent kept looking for the perfect location where they wouldn’t have any people around them to propose. After walking through the display they headed back to the car. It was the first time the two had been alone and it was time to pop the question.
When Ashley looked back at Brent he was down on one knee in the parking lot. : )
Ashley was totally surprised and said it was the perfect proposal. It was just the two of them after a fun evening and now she gets to spend the rest of her life with the man she loves. : )
