I love getting to hear the stories of my couples. Especially in person! Liza & Shawn were no exception.
This sweet couple met in ROTC while at University of Wisconsin. After some sneaky sleuthing, Liza was able to figure out Shawn’s number and ask him for help with some of the ROTC basics. It took a little bit, but Shawn eventually caught on.
Their first date was at Panera, they talked until they got kicked out! I guess you could say there was a spark. 😉
Fast forward a couple of years, they were headed out to spend Easter with Liza’s family. They had looked at rings, but only so Shawn knew what Liza may like sometime in the distant future. Liza even showed Shawn a diamond that she liked, but it got snatched up the next day by someone. Turns out, that future wasn’t so far off! 😉
While the trip didn’t go quite as planned with everyone getting sick. Shawn adjusted and spent some extra time in Indy with Liza’s family.
As they explored this beautiful garden, Shawn started to get sentimental. Liza said it best, “He kept telling me how amazing I was and how he couldn’t live without me. My initial thought was, Oh no, what did he do now?”
That’s when Shawn got down on one knee. Before he even got the chance to ask, Liza said, “Yes!”
Liza & Shawn, thank you so much for hanging out last week! I had a blast working with both of you. 🙂 And…. Grab a blanket & snuggle up. Your sneak peeks is live!
