An Associate Wedding by Cassie at The Mora Farm: Ariel & Ethan

This past Saturday, RWP Associate Photographer Cassie had the pleasure of photographing Ariel & Ethan’s beautiful wedding at Mora Farm in Waterman, IL. The day was filled with love, laughter, and a few surprises that made it truly unforgettable. When I asked Cassie, here are her top three favorite moments from the day…

1. The Sweets Table:
One of the most delightful surprises was the sweets table. The groom himself baked all of the cookies and vanilla cake pops! The assortment included chocolate chip, peanut butter cup, and iced sugar cookies, each more delicious than the last. It was heartwarming to see the personal touch he added to their special day, and I must say, they were absolutely delicious!

2. A Ceremony to Remember:
One of the most touching moments of the day was the ceremony, officiated by the groom’s dad, Joe. His performance was sweet, funny, and incredibly personal. Joe shared heartfelt stories about the couple, making the ceremony unique and meaningful for everyone in attendance. It was such an incredible honor for Ethan to have his father marry him and his bride, adding an extra layer of love and family connection to the day.

3. Sunset Photos:
Despite a forecast filled with rain, we were fortunate to sneak out for some breathtaking sunset photos on the west side of the farm. The rain had been persistent throughout the day, but miraculously, the farm field remained unscathed and mud-free. This allowed us to capture stunning portraits of the bride and groom with the golden hues of the sunset illuminating the scene. Adding to the magic, the bride’s grandfather’s farm, located just north of Mora Farm, provided a picturesque backdrop for these epic sunset portraits. The combination of the beautiful sunset and the sentimental touch of her grandfather’s farm made these photos truly special.
