An Associate Wedding by Cassie at Eaglewood Resort and Spa: Sam & Matt

Welcome to our latest wedding photography adventure, where we’re diving into the heart of a celebration brimming with creativity, culture, and a touch of unexpected excitement! Sam and Matt’s wedding was nothing short of extraordinary, and today, I’m thrilled to share some of the unforgettable highlights that made their day so special.

RWP Associate Photographer Cassie spoke of so many heartfelt moments that filled Sam & Matt’s enchanting day, but here are her top three:

1. Sam’s Hand-Stitched Masterpieces

Without a doubt, one of the coolest things about this wedding was Sam’s incredible handiwork. She personally hand cross-stitched every table number, every sign, and even the cake topper for her reception! These pieces weren’t just decorations—they were showstoppers. I couldn’t help but brag to every guest I met, “Did you know Sam hand-stitched every one of these??” They were so beautiful, and I was completely in awe of her talent and dedication. What made it even sweeter? Sam plans to reuse the number signs for monthly growth photos when she and Matt have children. I mean… could that be any more heartfelt and meaningful?!

2. The Kalamatiano Dance

One of the standout moments of Sam & Matt’s wedding was the Kalamatiano dance during the reception. As the lively Greek music filled the room, guests quickly joined hands, forming a vibrant circle around the newlyweds. Sam and Matt led the dance with pure joy, embodying the spirit of community and celebration that the Kalamatiano represents. The dance, which spanned three energetic songs, brought everyone together in a beautiful display of tradition, love, and unity—creating an unforgettable highlight of the night.

3. The Signature Shot Adventure

This was one of those “you had to be there” moments that makes wedding photography so much fun! I had scouted the perfect spot for Sam & Matt’s signature shot and brought them out to get into position. Just as I was about to capture the moment, my amazing second shooter, Natalie, pointed out an enormous spider in the trees where I had placed the couple. I can’t believe I almost walked right into it! LOL! No worries, though—the spider, Natalie, and our couple were all unharmed, and we ended up getting some absolutely gorgeous shots! It’s moments like these that remind me how much I love what I do.
