Wedding Wednesday: Jenny & Malachi

This past Saturday was so much fun! To be honest, I was a little nervous about driving through the snow to get to Jenny & Malachi’s wedding so we ended up arriving over an hour early! (Blake was definitely driving.) I’m so glad we did though. 🙂 Since we arrived early, we got to meet the fabulous staff at Holy Family Catholic Church. They showed us the whole building, the grounds and even shoveled the courtyard for us so we could do photos outside! Thank you, thank you to the staff! Especially those that shoveled! We got some amazing photos outdoors and we couldn’t have done it without your help. 🙂

The day only got better from there. After a very sweet first look between the Bride & Groom we got to witness them reading their vows to each other. 🙂 A beautiful, funny and intimate moment.

I LOVE what I do! We work with the best couples, their amazing friends & families. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to vows being read and had to fight back a tear or two. (But don’t tell anyone!) We get to know our couples so well over the time that we work with them. Their stories, their engagement session then shooting their wedding. We love getting to know our couples, it’s a privilege to capture their day and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. 🙂

I think a highlight of Jenny & Malachi’s wedding was actually their second ceremony on Saturday. Jenny comes from a Korean background. She actually had a lot of family come to their wedding from Korea! I really enjoyed getting to talk with Jenny about the Pyebaek and learning what the different parts symbolized. The photos are so colorful and different than anything I’ve ever done, I think you’ll like checking them out. 😀

Jenny & Malachi, thank you so much for sharing with us, for having us as your photographers and I hope y’all enjoy this sneak peek!

Getting ready!

This was so cool! Right after the first look, these two read vows to each other.
Loved it!

🙂

I was so impressed with these ladies! The snow was blowing everywhere, but they stuck it out and
laughed throughout our whole time outside. Y’all are the best!

What a good lookin’ group!

Time to get married!

The new Mr & Mrs!

😀

This was my first Korean Ceremony and I loved it so much!
Thank you Jenny & Malachi for sharing with me and explaining all the different things that would take place. 🙂

Wisdom for the newly weds. 🙂

🙂

Loved the woodsy theme!

This was super cute!
If you wanted the Bride & Groom to kiss, you had to stand up and sing a song with the word “Love” in it. 😀
I’ll definitely be sharing that idea with future couples!

Probably one of my favorite parts of the whole day was watching these two dance. 🙂
They had the whole thing choreographed! Well done you two!

Full dance floor the whole night! Too fun!

Look how cute those two are! (They may or may not be my Dad and little sister. 🙂 )

Jenny & Malachi, I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek and can’t wait to share more in the coming weeks!

Till Next Time,
