A June Wedding at Riverside Receptions: Steph & Zach

Ahh!!! I could not be more excited for this sneak peek. 😍 This wedding was especially fun for me because, in addition to shooting it, Blake and I also stood up in it! It’s officially checked off the bucket list.

Very grateful to the awesome RWP team that made it happen. Lisa rocked it as lead, basically all day. Courtney came out to second shoot during bridals, the ceremony and the start of the reception. This sneak peek is work from all three of us and I’m pretty pumped.

Our good friends Zach & Steph got married this past weekend and their day could not have been more perfect.

As Steph’s uncle tells it, there was a special going on so Zach decided to sign up for a few weeks of free of online dating. Just to try it. He then forgot to cancel his subscription so he figured he would use it a little longer. At the same time, Steph signed up for three months. And that was the start of a beautiful love story.

Top 5 moments of Zach & Steph’s wedding…

#5. Seeing Blake all dressed up. I’m sorry, I can’t help myself. He looked so handsome! I love my husband. 😍

#4. No rain! I feel like this has been a 2019 trend, but it was supposed to rain all day Sunday. It didn’t rain one single drop where we were in Geneva. I talked with Lisa & Courtney. They said it was raining just a couple towns over in Wheaton! A blessing for sure.

#3. Sneaking out during the reception for a few shots. Steph was really excited to get some shots crossing the street to the Herrington. I’m so glad she said something! I love how they turned out and it was fun running around dodging traffic.

#2. Their first look. It was pretty fun having a different role at this wedding. I got to shoot the first look and do photos of just the two of them, but I also got to drive Steph to her first look and hear more of the excitement. I know how exciting these moments are for each of my couples, but experiencing it with good friends, was a good reminder to slow down and soak it all in. 😊 I also loved that there was some sort of music playing at the pavilion for their first look. I’m not sure it’s music any of us would have turned on, but it totally added to the day.

#1. Their vows. Nothing quite like watching two friends get married.

Zach & Steph, we could not be more excited for this new chapter you’re beginning together. 😊 Thanks for having us out to photograph your wedding and I hope you two are soaking in some sun right now by the pool!
