Wedding Wednesday: Best of 2019

Wedding

It’s hard to believe another year has gone by! In 2019 we did…

  • 24 weddings
  • 25 different engagement sessions (If I counted right. 😂)
  • had 12 volunteer gigs
  • and 22 family, anniversary, senior and branding sessions

Whew! Promise. Engagements & weddings, still my jam. But I’ve loved seeing so many of my past Watson Brides and their families again this year! THANK YOU for sending the people you love our way. It makes a huge difference and this year was the best yet because of it. 🙂

However, it’s officially time for the “Best of 2019!” It took me all morning, (And most of the afternoon.) but I’ve just finished going through our wedding and engagement sessions from this past year.

It was so hard to narrow it down! I started with thousands of images, narrowed it down to just a few hundred and finally, the best 101 (ish). 😉

But first! In true Wedding Wednesday tradition, here are the top 5 things from 2019

Top 5 things of 2019

#5. Y’all had some good food this year! Say what you will, I loved it. Especially, the late night bites and food trucks! #Foodie

#4. Getting to be on double duty. Yes. This year I got to stand up in our friends wedding AND shoot it! It’s one of those goofy things I’ve always wanted to do and it really was awesome. A lot of work, but awesome. It’s officially checked off my bucket list. 😎

Shout out to Courtney and Lisa for helping me shoot that day! #DreamsReallyDoComeTrue 😂

#3. I LOVED the uniqueness that each of my #WatsonBrides brought to their wedding. Truly, those are the details guests remember and they’re often the most fun to photograph. 🙂 Here are just a few of the things that come to mind…

Ax cake cutting. Cat cutouts. Tears during your ceremonies. Just barely avoiding storms. Or not. White Claw. (Of course!) Popping Champagne. McDonald’s. Grandma’s wedding dress. Channel. Lou Malnati’s. Portillos. Bagpipes! Taco trucks. Driving range. Icing your loved ones. “Stripper heals.” Disney. Frank Sinatra. Stanley Cup cake! Personalized gifts. Written vows. Climbing on top of cars. Umbrellas. Hokey Pokey with Uncle Joe. Sparkler exits. First looks with bridesmaids and Dad. Remembering loved ones with charms, photos, roses and hearts. Bride balloons! StarWars. Mimosas! Stunning veil shots. Bubbles exits. 🙂

#2. Coming in at number two… This was crazy. Blake and I literally drove through a snowstorm to get to one of our Winter weddings! Never have I been more grateful for Blake’s truck and the weather app. 😂 We arrived early. Got tons of beautiful photos and did a little shoveling at the church. Blake actually shoveled out the Priest and his car before the ceremony! Yes. #TeamWatsonForLife 💪

#1. However. The absolute best part of 2019 was seeing so many #Watson Brides and their families again this year. Whether it was at double dates, anniversary sessions, friends or siblings weddings. It was by far the best part of our year and keeps us coming back for more. 🙂 THANK YOU! ❤️

And now… Watson Brides, grab a blanket and snuggle up with your man. The best of 2019 is here! 🙌

Whew! 101 (ish) of the best shots from 2019. Thank you so much to each of my #WatsonBrides for having me as your engagement and wedding photographer. Thanks for letting me do what I love and trusting me with your wedding day. 🙂 I couldn’t ask for better couples.

Looking forward to 2020 with you!
