While I do a fair amount of engagement sessions in Chicago, it’s not very often I get to head there for a wedding! On top of that, we got to go to some of the most iconic Chicago locations. Definitely knocked some stuff off of my wedding photography bucket list this Saturday and I’m so glad I got to do it with y’all. 🙂
Now, the Top 5 Moments/Things from April & Joe’s wedding – a Watson Wedding tradition. 🙂
#5. The blue buttons on April’s wedding dress. Custom created with fabric from her Dad’s favorite flannel. A sweet, unique and thoughtful way to have her Dad close to her on her wedding day. 🤍
#4. The first look April did with her bridesmaids and flower girl, Ginger! While the whole moment was sweet, Ginger’s reaction to April was unforgettable. You’ll have to scroll to see what I mean. 😉
#3. Popsicles with the Bride & Groom!
Y’all. It was HOT on Saturday! 105 heat index and these two rocked out anyways! When we finished up photos at the Lincoln Park Zoo, we snagged some popsicles and it was 100% worth it! A funny moment with an equally silly photo to remember it. 😀
#2. The Groomsmen putting on Boutonnières. Okay, this is kind of silly, but I’ve seen A LOT of guys attempt to put these on. These guys helped each other out right off the bat, truly showing the caliber of men Joe had standing beside him.
#1. When April & Joe saw each other for the first time walking down the aisle. There is truly nothing like the first look between a Bride & Groom and this first look was no exception. These two are truly meant to be. They look out for each other, are able to have fun together and genuinely care for the people around them. 🙂
