A Spring Wedding at Cantigny: Jane & John

Wedding

Jane & John’s wedding this past Saturday at Cantigny Park was the perfect way to jump back into wedding season. 🙂 The gardens were absolutely stunning and while it was rainy all morning when it was time for the First Look, the skies cleared up and the SUN even came out later in the day!

While there were many fun parts of Jane & John’s wedding, I wanted to share just the top three unique things that came to mind. A Wedding Wednesday tradition. 🙂

#3. Pearl! Getting to meet Pearl, Jane & John’s pup, last year at their engagement session was so fun, and getting to see her again at the couple’s wedding as she came down the aisle with Groomsmen Kenny, was perfect!

While she wasn’t at the reception, Jane & John found the cutest “stir sticks” that they were able to put Pearl’s face on. If you’re looking for a way to include your pup in the reception, guests loved this!

#2. The “Sister, Sister” dance that Jane and her sister Kate did together in honor of their Dad. 🙂 This was such a fun way to remember him and these two ladies totally rocked out! You’ll have to scroll to see what I mean. 😉

#1. The couple’s vows. I especially loved the story behind the card that Jane wrote her vows in. One day as Jane was wandering through a store, she felt the Lord whisper to keep being patient, God had someone perfect for Jane. She bought the card to remember God’s promise and just a few years later, it’s the same card she wrote her vows in.

As Jane was reading her vows to John, the sun peeked out of the clouds. Could have been timing, but I would like to believe it was something more. 🙂

Jane & John, thank you so much for having us as your wedding photography team! We had a ton of fun with you both and I love the shots that we got. 🙂

Now, grab a blanket and snuggle up. Your sneak peek is live!
