RWP Process: Everything Albums

For Brides

Welcome back to our RWP Process series! Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve broken down 13 of the 23 questions we recommend asking your perspective wedding photographer.

To see the original post and find links to the questions we’ve answered so far, click here!

Today we’re talking albums. Specifically, talking about our Legacy Bridal Album, what’s included and what the design process looks like. : )

This can vary a lot from photographer from photographer. There are no wrong answers here. Just sharing a little behind the scenes at RWP.

Why purchase the Legacy Bridal Album?

Your Legacy Bridal Album is the story of your wedding day from start to finish. It’s a time capsule of your wedding celebration, the sweet, unexpected and fun moments from the day.

Most importantly, it includes images of the friends and family who mean the most to you two. : )

While you don’t have to include a Legacy Bridal Album when you book with us, most of our couples do and we just love getting to design these for our Watson Brides!

What is included when I purchase my Legacy Bridal Album?

Our base pricing for the Legacy Bridal Album includes everything you need to have a beautiful final album you can be excited to share with your friends and family.

Our 10×10 Legacy Bridal Album includes…

  • Four to six hours of custom design work
  • Two rounds of revisions
  • Linen cover
  • Two lines of inscription
  • Binding
  • The first 30 sides (15 spreads) of your design
  • Shipping & Handling

Tax additional at 8%

Can I add Replica Parent Albums?

Yes! I LOVE when couples include Replica Parent Albums!

Replica Parent Albums are my #1 recommendation to couples looking for a way to say, “Thanks you” to parents or looking for a sweet Christmas present.

It’s something I wish Blake and I had done for our parents when we got married.

In fact, my little sister, Lisa, gifted our parents Replica Parent Albums after their wedding in 2022 and my Mom hinted that she would love one from us too. (Ope!) I’ll have to see what I can do…

What is the difference between a wedding album and a bridal album?

At RWP we use the words interchangeable. : )

How does the design process work?

If you’ve included your Legacy Bridal Album or you’re thinking about adding it, here is what the process looks like…

As soon as your final wedding gallery has been delivered to you, myself and the RWP Team will jump into creating the initial design of your Legacy Bridal Album. In general, the initial design process takes 2-3 weeks.

Once the design is ready, we’ll send it your way to review and approve.

Two things to remember as you look through your initial design…

#1. If there are any images you would like swapped out or added in, just let us know! You have two rounds of revisions included complementary with your Legacy Bridal Album.

#2. While most couples don’t add additional spreads, you totally can!

Once your album has been approved I’ll send over options for the last two things you’ll have left to choose; the linen album cover you would like and the two line inscription you want on your album cover. : )

Once we’ve finalized the last details of your Legacy Bridal Album, we get to place your order!

What is the turnaround time for my Legacy Bridal Album?

Typical turn around for albums after they have been ordered is 4-8 weeks, but I’ll make sure to send tracking information your way when I see it come through. : )

Wrap Up

While you’re never required to purchase your Legacy Bridal Album, it’s something many of our couple’s do and they’re really glad they do!

A couple of years ago I got to reconnect with Watson Bride Hanna and her, now husband, Greg. Since getting married they’ve added three kiddos to their family. As we were wrapping up our together Mini Session, Hanna told me how glad she was that they went ahead and purchased their Legacy Bridal Album. It’s they’re kids, “favorite book” to look through because Mom and Dad are in it. : )

I tried to play it cool, but those words meant so much to me! Getting to capture a couple’s wedding day is such an honor. To be able to go further than that and help create one of a family’s first family heirlooms, truly special.

As always, thanks for following along. : )
