Julie & Jesse’s day was filled with heartfelt moments at this gorgeous church wedding that RWP Associate Cassie had the privilege of photographing last weekend! From the tender vows exchanged to the joyous laughter shared among family and friends, every detail was a testament to their deep love. The blue accents everywhere added a touch of elegant magic and serenity.

1. A Heartfelt Connection with Julie’s Brother
Julie’s brother couldn’t attend the wedding in person, but Julie’s family made sure he was part of the celebration by setting up a live stream of the ceremony and reception, allowing him to watch from afar. During the ceremony, the pastor gave a special shoutout to Julie’s brother and prompted everyone to wave at the camera. Later, during the reception, family members sent their love and best wishes to her brother through the camera. The connection and inclusion of her brother in such a meaningful way made this moment truly unforgettable.
2. Grandpa’s Touching Sermon
One of the most touching parts of the ceremony was when Jesse’s grandfather, who is also a pastor, shared a special story and prayer for the couple. The couple had set aside this moment specifically for him, and it turned into a memorable and heartfelt sermon. His words were filled with warmth, wisdom, and humor, creating a beautiful blend of laughter and sentiment. The way he spoke and the love he conveyed through his stories and prayers left everyone moved and added a unique and personal touch to the ceremony. It was a beautiful reminder of the importance of family and tradition.
3. Wedding Party Portraits at Blackwell Forest Preserve
A favorite moment was slipping away before the ceremony for wedding party portraits at Blackwell Forest Preserve. The soft, glowing light and everyone’s happy faces made for some amazing photos. The serene forest setting and the excitement of the wedding party created the perfect backdrop. This brief escape was a wonderful chance to capture the love and friendship among Julie, Jesse, and their closest friends. The resulting photos beautifully reflect the joy and anticipation of the day, adding a touch of nature’s beauty to the celebration.
