This engagement session was SO MUCH FUN!

These high school sweethearts officially got engaged on August 6, 2020 and I couldn’t be more excited for them! They’ve been together as long as I can remember and I can’t imagine it any other way. 🙂

I especially loved hearing how Jared proposed… Last year, Julia & Jared were together on a family fishing trip.

Jared, knowing he wanted to propose, found a way to share a boat with Julia’s Dad that first day while they were fishing. Ring in hand, just in case he wanted to see it, he asked her Dad for permission right as a fish took the bait! While her Dad lost the fish, I think it’s safe to say, he was about to gain something much better. 😉

A couple of days later, Jared couldn’t wait any longer. He asked Julia to grab him a pair of pliers out of the tackle box. When she opened the box all the tackle was gone and in its place, ping pong balls saying, “Marry Me?” The same way he had asked her to be his girlfriend all those years back.

The proposal was perfect. 🙂 A sentimental surprise, surrounded by family.

 

Julia & Jared, thank you so much for running around Utah with me! I loved getting to catch up with you two and explore the beautiful state you now call home. 🙂
