You could say these two are high school sweethearts… Sort of. 😉
Kristen & Landon met back in 2016 when Kristen took a job at the same high school Landon was working at. 🙂 They connected immediately! Some things are just meant to be.
Fast forward to 2019. Kristen had just gotten home from her Cross Country team’s Conference meet when Landon asked her if she wanted to go to the Botanical Gardens. She was immediately suspicious, but she put it aside and they had fun exploring the beautiful grounds.
When he didn’t propose, she was, “bummed and confused.”
They got home and started playing one of their favorite games. As I understand it, you play to win different gems.
It took a couple rounds, but Kristen eventually won and instead of giving her the game gem, he got down on one knee and pulled out a different kind of gem. The kind you wear the rest of your life. 🙂
It was sweet, private and memorable. All the things Landon knew Kristen would love. (And I think he nailed it!)
