A Summer Wedding at the Belvedere Chateau: Amanda & Marcin

Wedding

Y’all. This was such a fun wedding!!!

Not only was this the second Callahan sister wedding, but it was also one of my first Polish weddings with tons of fun traditions and probably one of the sweetest bridal parties I’ve ever worked with. (Which I feel like I say all the time, but my Watson Brides truly have the kindest friends. 🙂 )

For those of you who are new around here, one of my favorite things to do for wedding sneak peeks is share the top five moments from the wedding day. As I sat down to write this one, I realized I was in trouble… In just 2.5 minutes of brainstorming, I came up with 10+ top moments! Needless to say, this wedding was one for the books and I am pumped for this sneak peek. 😀

But first… the top 5 (ish) moments from Amanda & Marcin’s wedding day…

#5. All the Polish traditions I got to be a part of! Starting at the beginning of the day, there was live Polish music! (Kapela Kurniawa) This group arrived in the morning, and participated in the blessing, (Which was so fun for me to photograph!) church ceremony and reception. These guys were really good and they rocked out ALL DAY!

I also loved getting to see all the traditional Polish food. Dinner was so yummy and the sweets table was NEXT LEVEL! Seriously. AJ Catering was incredible! Beautiful display and so, so tasty. You’ll have to scroll to check it out. 😉

#4. Amanda & Marcin’s ENORMOUS Bridal Party!

I double checked. Including the Bride & Groom, Amanda & Marcin had THIRTY people in their Bridal Party! They officially set the new record, previously held by her sister and Watson Bride, Kristen. 🙂 I thought it was perfect. While there were a lot of new faces, there were also so many familiar faces, something I truly enjoyed. 🙂

#3. The wacky weather. Y’all. It was nuts. The weather did not look good when we were scheduled to do Bridal photos so we got creative. We snuck in photos of Amanda & Marcin during their first look and at the church, just to be safe.

I am so glad that we did! When we were driving to the park, there were, literally, cars pulled over on the highway with their hazard lights on! It dumped on us. Thankfully, the rain lightened up so we were able to do a handful of couples photos at the park with umbrellas. Super cute. 🙂

After that, we headed to the reception hall, our back up plan AND the skies cleared! I’m thankful for a pretty reception hall and I am super grateful for couples who trust me. 🙂

#2. The grand entrance of the flower girl and ring bearer. This. Was. Epic! Their parents, also in the Bridal Party, had these two little munchkins in a kid sized car for their entrance. The twist, it was remote controlled!

#1. While there were so many sweet moments I think the sweetest moment was when the Bride & Groom welcomed all their guests.

You may have picked up on the fact that this was a Polish wedding. 😉 After Marcin welcomed guests, he passed the microphone over to his Bride who learned Polish just so she could welcome their guests in their own language. Not only was it impressive, but it was the perfect reflection of who this couple is, thoughtful, loving and welcoming.

Bonus: Amanda & Marcin made their own Vodka! They sent me home with some. I already got to share it with my family and I have to say, I was really impressed. 🙂

Amanda & Marcin, THANK YOU so much for having me! Your wedding day was truly perfect. 🙂 Now, grab a blanket and snuggle up. Your sneak peek is live!
