A Fall Wedding at the Metropolis Ballroom: Jamie & Jacob

Wedding

This past weekend Jamie & Jacob got married and I have to say… this was probably one of my all time favorite weddings!

I know, I know, I “probably say that all the time,” but it’s true! Jamie & Jacob are the sweetest couple and anyone who knows them, knows how perfectly they fit together. Their day, rescheduled over a year, was highly anticipated and full of joy.

As soon as we arrived, I could tell how nervous and excited Jacob was to be marrying Jamie. We had fun, got some shots, and they headed over to see Jamie. The same excitement and nervousness filled the Bridal Suite. These two spent so much time planning and replanning their day, and it was finally here! 😀

I could go on and on about how sweet these two are and how special their day was, but I’ll give you just five of the top five moments. A Wedding Wednesday tradition…

#5. The sweet note that Jamie wrote her future Mother-In-Law, Denise. Let’s just say, I’ve been to a couple of weddings. I’ve never had a Bride write a note to her MIL-to-be. It was so sweet to see Denise get to read it in the morning and, more importantly, it showed just how much love there is all around. 🙂

#4. Jamie’s first look with her Dad. 🙂 As a Daddy’s Girl, these get me. Every. Single. Time. I’m so, so glad we took the time to do this. It was a moment neither of them will soon forget.

#3. Coming in at number 3… The fun dances that Jamie & Jacob had! I thought it was so sweet that they danced with the twin ring bearers before bedtime. That wasn’t the only fun dance, though! Jamie also had a fun dance with her friends AND midway through her first dance with her Dad, the music switched up and these two busted a move! You’ll have to scroll to see what I mean. 😉

#2. The Best Man, Greg’s, speech. He grabs the mic and tells the guests, “Don’t worry! This will only take a minute.” Then, an enormous scroll immediately unrolls to the ground! I just caught it as he dropped it and pulled out the paper with his real speech. A much more reasonable length. 😉

#1. Finally, coming in at number 1… The first look between Jamie & Jacob. There’s really nothing else like the first look. All the anticipation from the morning fully built up. Jamie slowly walked up behind Jacob, tapped his shoulder and their expressions… priceless. 🙂
