Natalie & Jimmy got married this past weekend and I’m so grateful RWP Associate Cassie and I got to capture it together. : ) While I’m REALLY excited about this sneak peek, I wanted to share a few highlights from their wedding day. A Wedding Wednesday tradition. : )
When I asked Cassie all about it, this is what she had to say…
#5. The bagpiper! Natalie’s parents surprised Natalie and Jimmy last minute with the bagpiper after their ceremony. There’s just something about bagpiper music that is just so cool! I absolutely loved it!
#4. For Natalie & Jimmy’s first dance, they danced to “Growing Old with You” by Restless Road. It was beautifully choreographed and definitely a favorite song. To top it off, Jimmy’s sister, Ema reached out to the band and they sent Natalie & Jimmy a video of best wishes on their wedding day!
#3. It sounds like a weird favorite part of the day, but… SNOW! It was absolutely beautiful! Cold, but beautiful. I’m so glad Natalie & Jimmy were open to getting outside for a few beautiful shots in the winter wonderland.
#2. The mother Son dance. This was truly beautiful. Having two boys of my own and knowing I’m going to dance with them on their wedding day, I couldn’t help it. It wrecked me. Jimmy, your dance with your Mom was absolutely beautiful. I had trouble seeing through my tears as we captured these sweet moments.
#1. The cookie reception! Both Natalie and Jimmy are teachers and decided to include their students on their big day. The back of the church was filled with happy smiley faces watching their teachers walked on the aisle and say their vows.
The best part though, was the cooking reception Natalie & Jimmy hosted after their ceremony for their students. All of the kids were able to celebrate the happy couple privately before Natalie and Jimmy’s Big reception. It was just the sweetest and a beautiful way to include everyone they loved on their wedding.
Natalie & Jimmy, thank you so much for having us. Your day was truly beautiful and I’m really excited about the final shots that we got. : )
